Rules and FAQ’s

We only allow barbless hooks no smaller than size 10. Fish welfare is something we really care about which is why we have this rule in place.
We do allow children of any age, however we do ask that if they are under 14 years old they must be accompanied by an adult. While we do our best to make the pond a safe environment for everyone, there are hazards around that small children could get hurt on.

Yes.
Either give your bait to a fellow angler or take it with you. Please don’t leave your bait on the bank as it invites unwanted critters to the pond. Please don’t throw your bait in the pond either, it can float and encourage the fish to feed higher than usual.
No we do not allow dogs to the pond. This is to protect the wildlife. This is not negotiable.
If you are fishing, please do not play music. Fishing is peaceful and playing music is annoying for everyone around. We do allow music to be played if you are staying in our accomodation but be respectful.
We do allow children here above 12 years old and they have to be accompanied by an adult at all times between ages 12-18.
We have a fully private shower, toilet block and kitchen that is available for free for anyone to use and is kept very clean.
Yes that is not a problem however they have to arrive before 7pm and please order them to “Midgley Lane LS21 1DU” and put in the comment box “Stop at the green gate by the pony hut”
Please take your rubbish with you, we don’t have the facilities to deal with it.

We don’t use a booking website, this helps us keep the price down.
